Scouts Visit Gettysburg

During a weekend in August, Terre Hill BSA Troop 172 and Pack 172 spent three days camping, hiking, and touring Gettysburg. The group consisted of 35 Scouts, leaders, and parents who camped at McMillan Woods on the battlefield and spent time in smaller groups touring the visitors center, hiking the battlefield, and touring downtown.

Many of the Scouts and leaders worked on completing the Gettysburg Heritage Trail program. The group also viewed stars with a telescope set up by a leader/Scout working on astronomy merit badge.
