Shades Hair and Spa, 201 East Broadway, Red Lion, will hold a fundraiser, Shades Fest, on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to benefit York County Veterans Outreach. The event will feature a number of vendors offering a variety of items.
The event will also include a beard contest, a magician, a pie eating contest, and more. The fundraiser will be held rain or shine.
Proceeds from giveaway drawings and vendor fees and any donations will go to York County Veterans Outreach to help veterans and their families. Shirts for Shades Fest were made, and all the proceeds from shirt sales will also go to the organization. Vendors are being accepted through Monday, Sept. 30. There is a fee per space, and vendors should provide a donation for the auction and giveaways. No duplicate vendors will be allowed, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested vendors should call Shades at 717-244-6492 or stop by the salon. All paperwork, fees, and the donation for the giveaway must be submitted by Sept. 30.
