Central Bark Plans Grand Opening

Central Bark, a doggy day care franchise, has announced the grand opening of Central Bark York on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central Bark York, an 8,000-square-foot space located at 3615 E. Market St., is owned by franchisees Jen Hicks and Eleesa Collins, who were both born and raised in York.

Hicks and Collins met seven years ago while working as wedding supervisors. They decided to leave the worlds of accounting and home health care to open their own business by purchasing a Central Bark franchise.

Central Bark York offers dogs its "Whole Dog Care" approach, which was created to enrich the whole health and well-being of the dogs in its care throughout their entire life. At the heart of the Whole Dog Care approach is Enrichment Doggy Day Care, which combines Central Bark's doggy day care expertise with the latest dog behavior science. Enrichment Doggy Day Care aims to provide a healthy and balanced blend of exercise, social group play, learning, rest, and care to help dogs be a healthy, happy, calm, and well-rounded member of the family.
