Members of the American Legion Riders (ALR) group at Stewartstown Post 455 presented a check to the Stewartstown Senior Center on Sept. 25 to assist with the costs in hosting the senior center's annual Veterans Day Luncheon, planned for Friday, Nov 8. The donation will cover nearly 50% of the costs associated with the event, according to senior center director Rosie Horton. The money was raised by the Legion Riders at various events in 2019.
Veterans and family members interested in attending the luncheon should speak to Horton or call the senior center at 717-993-3488. Veterans and others who are eligible for membership in the American Legion and who would like to join the Riders group or the Stewartstown American Legion may contact post commander Bobby O'Farrell at 717-309-3881.
