The Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive, Stewartstown, opened its third art exhibit for the 2019 season with a kickoff reception on Oct. 13.
Paintings by Canadian-born artist Pauline Biggley were accompanied with music by Mike Kirwin and refreshments. Biggley began creating her own comic books at the age of 6. She continued nurturing her talent through high school. After moving to the U.S., she began focusing more on her artwork. Biggley minored in art at Towson University and has studied at various studios and with other artists in oil, watercolor, and pastels. She likes to paint her experiences from life and often uses photos from her family history.
The exhibit will remain on display at the library through Friday, Dec. 6. For more information, readers may visit http://www.yorklibraries.org/mason-dixon or call the library at 717-993-2404.
