The youths of Hinkletown Mennonite Church will perform a play at Cocalico Middle School, 650 S. Sixth St., Denver. The cast will perform "Second Chance Christmas" and "Frantic Family Vacation" on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 and 7 p.m. This will be the 43rd consecutive year that the church youths have presented a play.
Written by Regina M. Ballard, the family-friendly plays follow the adventures and trials of the Stanton and Hill families as they interact on two separate occasions. The families find out what Christmas is really about when they are stranded together in "Second Chance Christmas." As their family bond grows, the characters clash in "Frantic Family Vacation" when a planned peaceful weekend away turns into a series of humorous mishaps.
Admission is free, and attendees can reserve their seats 90 minutes prior to each performance. A freewill offering will be received at intermission to support Vida Missions and MDS hurricane relief.
