A Veterans Day and Marine Corps birthday celebration will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at September House, 1251 W. King St., York. Feed the Vets of York County is sponsoring this free event, which is open to the public.
Guest speakers will be Michael Gurreri of Operation Grandfather 5 and Rich Flickinger. A free meal will follow, featuring pulled pork, ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, and homemade desserts.
Feed the Vets and September House will also hold a cookie walk fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 14. Donated homemade cookies will be available for purchase by the pound. Also, on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, September House will again be open to offer a free meal for everyone.
