The Kiwanis Club of Middletown held its 66th annual Halloween Parade on Oct. 21. A number of bands, performing groups, fire and emergency equipment, floats, business groups, walking participants, and more took part in the festive event. Prizes were awarded to various groups, with monetary awards bestowed. In the case of a tie in a category, the total of the monetary prizes for first and second places was split between the two winning groups.
In the Cutest category, Domenic Baker was the winner. Jasmine Baker took home top honors in the Original Individual category.
In the Original Group category, first place went to Disney Villains, with Brownie Girl Scout Troop 11109 as Rosie the Riveters in second place and Junior Girl Scout Troop 11052 as M&Ms in third place.
For the Floats category, Middletown Seven Sorrows Pack 113 won first place, Middletown 9U Mudcats Baseball earned second place, and Londonderry Cub Pack 97 came in third place.
Tying for first place in the Performing Groups category were the Middletown Area Middle School band and the Middletown Area High School (MAHS) band. Middletown Youth Club cheerleaders earned third place in this category, with the MAHS varsity cheerleaders in fourth place.
Additionally, Middletown Area Middle School won the Judges' Prize.
