Three local Lebanon Valley College students were among the hundreds of attendees at the 22nd annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Chemical and Biological Sciences held recently at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Catonsville, Md.
Anju Ghimirey, Palmyra, a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and presented the poster "The Effect of Road Salt on Different Freshwater Species." Ghimirey's poster won second place in its division.
Julia Weber, Palmyra, a graduate of The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology. She presented the poster "Investigations of Prolamin Solubility and Stability in Isopropanol."
Kaitlyn Welch, Elizabethtown, a graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in biology. She presented the poster "Designing a Lab Module to Study Cell Signaling During Neurite Outgrowth."
