Library Slates Schedule

Dungeons and Dragons, recommended for teenagers age 13 and up, will be offered on Saturdays, Nov. 16 and 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The multiplayer tabletop roleplaying game set in medieval times allows players to create characters and go on adventures. No registration is necessary.

The knitting club, for adults, will meet on Monday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. People who like to knit or want to learn how are welcome, as are crocheters. No registration is necessary.

Adults are invited to join the book club on Friday, Nov. 22, at 9:30 a.m. to discuss "I'd Know You Anywhere" by Laura Lippman. No registration is necessary.

The library will close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. It will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 9 a.m.

Additionally, the Friends of the Manheim Community Library have scheduled their fall book sale, which will take place in the basement community room at the Manheim Borough Building. Elevator access and carts will be available. A preview sale for Friends members will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitors may join the Friends group at the door for a fee.

The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 7 and 8, as well as from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. There will be a bag sale on Nov. 9. Thousands of books, DVDs, audio books, and puzzles will be available for purchase. Books will be suitable for people of all ages and include many New York Times bestselling authors and award-winning children's works.

Volunteers are sought to help with sorting books or to assist during the sale; more information is available at http://www.manheimlibrary.org/book-sale. Additionally, community members are welcome to donate books at any time at the library by placing the books on the cart in the hallway designated for donations.
