Indian Summer Jars To Perform

Indian Summer Jars will perform in concert at Emmaus Road Cafe, 1886 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, on Saturday, Nov. 16. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the music will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Honoring styles of folk, blues, bluegrass, and gospel, Indian Summer Jars features harmonies and vocals reminiscent of Indigo Girls and Natalie Merchant. Indian Summer Jars will present songs inspired by travel, experience, growth, and change. While it typically performs as a quartet, the band can play in configurations anywhere from a duo to a six-piece group.

Indian Summer Jars has been playing in the eastern United States for eight years. It has performed at MusikFest in Bethlehem; the 30A Songwriters Festival in South Walton, Fla.; The Saint in Asbury Park N.J.; The Purple Fiddle in Thomas, W.Va.; and The Blockley in Philadelphia. Indian Summer Jars also has had radio airplay and recognition by NPR.

The group has shared stages with acts such as Vicki Genfan, Joe Stevens (Coyote Grace), Liz Longley, and Nahko and Medicine for the People.
