Four student vocalists - Julia Gavin, Emily Herr, Josh Pope and Tristan Rush - will represent Solanco during the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association (LLMEA) County Chorus in Janurary.
The LLMEA County Chorus Festival will be Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. at Solanco High School. The public is invited. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Separate prices have been set for adults and for students and seniors. Students from more than 20 schools in Lancaster and Lebanon counties will make up the 179-member choir under the direction of Dr. Kyle Zeuch of Lebanon Valley College. The festival will be co-hosted by Penn Manor High School and Solanco High School choral directors Lauren Ciemiewicz and Erin Biles.
In addition, Julia, Josh and Tristan have earned high placements in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Chorus from Thursday, Jan. 16, to Saturday, Jan. 18, at Central Dauphin High School. At that festival, Julia, Josh and Tristan will audition for the PMEA Region V Chorus.
The PMEA District 7 Chorus Festival will be held at Central Dauphin High School with the concert on Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. Dr. Jerry Blackstone of the University of Michigan will be the guest conductor. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Separate prices have been set for adults and for students and seniors.
