Free Educational Programs Planned

Community REACH, Inc. 15 First Ave., Red Lion, is offering a number of free programs designed for the community served by the Dallastown, Eastern, and Red Lion school districts.

On Monday, Dec. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., Northwest Bank manager JoEllen Hynson will offer a presentation titled "Savings." Light refreshments will be served, and a door prize will be given away. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m., the presentation "Diabetes Prevention and Wellness Related to Diabetes" will be provided by Claudia Kroeze, a registered nurse and diabetes educator with the Diabetes Education Department, UPMC Memorial Outpatient Center. Registration is required by visiting Community REACH or calling 717-244-6934. A door prize will be awarded to one participant in the class.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., an English Language Learning (ELL) class will be offered. Albert Storm is the instructor. To register, individuals may visit Community REACH or call 717-244-6934.

Also on Dec. 5, instructor Sam Neff will present "Computers and Technology for Beginners" from 3 to 4 p.m. The program is a continuation of the October classes, and Neff will review previous topics. Computers will be provided for the class. Registration is required by visiting Community REACH or calling 717-244-6934. Parking is available across the street from the Ruth Ann Young Center at 15 First Ave., Red Lion.
