Dinniman Recognizes Area Seniors

Residents at the Downingtown Area Senior Center recently received a visit from state Sen. Andy Dinniman and his poodle, Jagger. Dinniman stopped by to recognize residents who have reached 90 years or older with Senate Certificates of Recognition.

Since taking office, Dinniman has visited senior centers and senior living communities throughout the region to offer birthday wishes to almost 1,000 seniors each year who are part of his 90+ Birthday Program. Under the program, area seniors 90 years and older receive certificates on their birthdays.

Dinniman said the 90+ Birthday Program is part of his effort to not only recognize the vast contributions of the senior community but also to ensure that local seniors are receiving all the support and services Pennsylvania has to offer, from tax rebates to medical assistance.
