The Shrewsbury Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints completed its CrisisCleanup project on Oct. 26. Members of the Shrewsbury Ward were joined by homeowners and other community members to place the cut-up debris into a dumpster.
The work project began with a check-in and a safety briefing at 9 a.m. It took a little over two and a half hours for the group to load all the debris into the dumpster. The homeowners then treated everyone to a pizza lunch.A total of 123 man-hours went into the project, and 20 individuals have assisted with various stages of the project, which started in May.
The site of the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster project is on West Clearview Drive near Bohr Court in Shrewsbury Township.
