ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., Hellam, has launched its Sunday Advent service message series, "Because of Bethlehem." Worship begins at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday.
Messages will continue from the Book of Micah, concluding on Dec. 22. Each Sunday, a children's message will be given by adults, relevant to the Scripture and message being given later in the service. Nursery care is provided for younger children.
On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, ValleyView welcomes the public to a candlelight service beginning at 6 p.m. The Bethlehem story will be recounted from the prophet Micah and celebrated with music, readings and candle lighting.
