Community REACH Inc., 15 First Ave., Red Lion, will offer free programs designed for the community served by the Dallastown, Eastern, and Red Lion school districts.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 10 to 11 a.m., a presentation titled "Smart Tips for Eating Healthy on a Budget: Making It Last!" will be taught by Nikki (Bennett) Lawrence, Select and UPMC clinical dietitian. Registration is required, and community members may stop by Community REACH or call 717-244-6934 to register. A door prize will be provided to one participant in the class.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., an English Language Learning (ELL) class will be offered at Community REACH. Albert Storm is the instructor for the class, which will focus on learning the English language in small group and individual formats. Also on Dec. 12, instructor Sam Neff will offer "Computers and Technology for Beginners" from 3 to 4 p.m. The program is a continuation of October classes, and Neff will review previous topics, which include the basics of computers and technology. Group and individual instruction on applications based on student needs will be addressed. Registration is required. Computers will be provided for the class. On Friday, Dec. 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., a presentation titled "Feet on the Ground: A Positive Approach to Living Fully" will be offered by Laura Rudacille, author and speaker. Interested attendees may register for the class by stopping by Community REACH or by calling 717-244-6934.
