Hope's Closet is continuing its extended hours. The resale shop, located at Pathway Community Church, 1731 W. Philadelphia St., York, will be open the first and third Fridays of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. in addition to its regular Saturday hours. Upcoming dates are Friday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The site's Christmas Shop will offer ornaments, table decorations, gift items, candles, candle holders, and more at low prices. Newly received Christmas and winter fashions for ladies, along with jewelry, will also be available at affordable prices. The children's room will feature games, puzzles, children's books, and children's winter clothes.
Shoppers may register to win a giant Hershey stuffed bear. The winner's name will be drawn on Saturday, Dec. 21. No purchase is necessary.
Customers will receive a free silky scarf with each purchase of $10 or more. There will also be information on how a scarf can enhance an outfit.
There will also be free clothing items for people of all ages, along with free food, including bread.
