The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA), 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, will hold its annual "Show Some Love With a Glove" Glove Drive through Saturday, Feb. 29. Throughout the year, workers at the shelter wear gloves to help reduce the spread of life-threatening diseases.
HSHA uses approximately 300,000 latex, vinyl, or nitrile gloves to clean, medicate, and care for the thousands of homeless animals that come to the shelter from Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties every year. During the glove drive, HSHA hopes to receive at least 250 cases of gloves.
The public is invited to participate by dropping gloves off at HSHA, ordering gloves via http://www.amazon.com, or making a monetary donation. For more information, readers may call 717-564-3320 or visit http://www.humanesocietyhbg.org. HSHA cannot accept any powdered surgical or exam gloves.
