"The Union Canal: Preserving a Piece of the Past" will be a free Manada Conservancy program on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Conservatory at Hershey Gardens, 170 Hotel Road, Hershey. Ed Martel, tour guide for Union Canal Tunnel Park, will present a historical overview of the canal, including its construction, use and local impact. Conservancy executive director Jen Dunlap will then provide a brief update on current conservation efforts along Swatara Creek.
