Moores Memorial Library Plans Special Events

A workshop on managing personal finances, How Money Works, will take place in the library conference room on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. The free financial seminar will be presented by the Lancaster Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the Mount Zion AME Church in Atglen. To register, readers are asked to call 484-995-0823.

In addition, a free workshop, An Introduction to Book Folding, will be held in the conference room on Feb. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. There is a nominal materials fee. Participants are asked to bring a sharp pencil or mechanical pencil with them. Registration is required. Space is limited.

A special STEM program will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. Further details are available from the library.

The Friends of the Moores Memorial Library will host their annual Winter Tea on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Chantry Place, which is located next door to the library. This year's theme will be "Alice in Wonderland," and the admission fee will include tea, light refreshments, and a magician. Tickets are available at the library.

Several clubs will offer a variety of options to patrons. Crypto Club will begin on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. and will meet for four weeks. Yoga Club will meet on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The Lego Club will meet on Thursdays, Feb. 13 and 27, at 6 p.m. The Adult Book Group will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Knit and Natter, a knitting and crocheting group, will gather at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Feb. 5 and 19. Preschool Story Time will be offered on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
