Spring Garden Series Planned

The 15th annual Dauphin County Master Gardener Spring Workshop Series will take place on Saturdays, Feb. 29 through March 28, except March 14. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with programs running from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The workshops will be held at the Dauphin County Agriculture and Natural Resources Center, 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin. Refreshments will be provided, and some participants will take home door prizes.

"Plentiful Plants, Principals of Propagation" will be presented by Master Gardener Pamela Shuman on Feb. 29. "Eat Your Yard" will be presented on March 7 by George Weigel, author, speaker, garden travel leader, and horticulturist. Master Gardener Shirley Halk will present "Meet Your Backyard Birds" on March 21. "Global Warming and Gardening" will be the topic on March 28, and the speaker will be Diane White Husic, dean of the School of Natural and Health Sciences and professor of biology at Moravian College.
