The Friends of the Adamstown Area Library recently presented their annual contribution of $25,000 to library director Carolyn Reiste. Through their fundraisers the Friends are able to add to the library's collections and programs for children and adults. The Friends credit the success of their events to the volunteers who give their time and the members of the public who attend.
Throughout Friday, Feb. 14, visitors to the library may purchase Valentine Bags of Romance during the "Glance at Romance" fundraiser. A basket bingo event will take place at the Reamstown Fire Company on Sunday, March 15. The Friends will hold their annual used book sale on Wednesday to Saturday, May 6 to 9, at Peace Church in Swartzville. The Bucks for Books Dinner and Auction will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Fox Chase Golf Club.
