Elizabethtown Area Senior Center has posted its upcoming activities. Local seniors are invited to participate. The senior center is located in the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. The Elizabethtown Area Senior Center is a service of GEARS and the Lancaster County Office of Aging.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, activities will include walking or pancakes at 9 a.m., table games at 10:30 a.m., Seniors Helping Seniors at 11 a.m., Walk With Ease at 12:30 p.m., and pinochle and/or discussion groups at 1 p.m. Lunch will be chicken and a whole grain buttermilk biscuit, pepper slaw, and warm peaches.
Activities on Friday, Jan. 31, will include walking at 9 a.m, Bible study or table games at 10 a.m., Fun Time at 11 a.m., Walk With Ease at 12:30 p.m., discussion groups at 1 p.m., and a TGIF dinner at 5 p.m. Lunch will be sweet and sour pork loin, blended rice pilaf, green beans, a whole grain dinner roll, and mixed fruit.
On Monday, Feb. 3, the center will offer walking at 9 a.m., laddergolf at 9:30 a.m., a healthy heart activity at 10:30 a.m., a heart craft at 11:15 a.m., Walk With Ease at 12:30 p.m., and pinochle and/or discussion groups at 1 p.m. Lunch will be chicken Parmesan with sauce and mozzarella, pasta, green beans, wheat bread, and fresh fruit.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, activities will include walking at 9 a.m., bingo exercise at 9:30 a.m., Name That President at 10:30 a.m., and a 10-Minute Tasty Tip at 1 p.m. Lunch will be a porcupine ball with tomato sauce, garlic whipped potatoes, carrots, and cinnamon raisin bread pudding.
The center's activities on Wednesday, Feb. 5, will include walking at 9 a.m., chair exercise at 9:30 a.m., Wii bowling and table games at 10 a.m., discussion groups at 1 p.m., and Bingo 4 Bucks at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be a turkey Reuben with sauerkraut and cheese, creamy vegetable chowder with crackers, rye bread, and mixed fruit.
