County Relocates Six Downtown Offices

Six York County government offices relocated to 2401 Pleasant Valley Road, York, on Jan. 27. York County Conservation District, Weights and Measures, Center for Traffic Safety, Penn State Extension, Ag Land Preservation, and Veterans Affairs moved to the building that previously housed Graham Packaging. Phone numbers have not changed for any of the relocating departments.

York County at Pleasant Valley Road, as the new building is officially titled, is being leased by the county with a timetable for eventual ownership. The new building offers parking amenities for veterans, who will no longer be required to use an elevator or stairs to confer with an accredited service officer at Veterans Affairs.

This new building provides a visible location near Route 30, easy accessibility, and an abundance of free parking. The county will soon begin consideration of phase two of the move, which will bring more county offices to Pleasant Valley Road in an attempt to alleviate overcrowding in the county's downtown buildings.
