Hempfield School District student writers were recently recognized in the Scholastic Art & Writing Contest. Students earned Gold Keys, Silver Keys, and Honorable Mentions in the Northeast Writing Region-at-Large contest as well as an Honorable Mention in the art competition. The 16 students who earned Gold Keys received the honor of having their work forwarded for judging at the national level.
Gold Keys are presented to the best works submitted to local programs. These works are automatically considered for national-level recognition. Silver Key are given to standout works that are submitted to local programs and that demonstrate exceptional ability. Accomplished works that are submitted to local programs and that show great skill and potential receive Honorable Mentions.
