The York County Astronomical Society, celebrating 14 years offering planetarium programs to the public, is now offering online ticket sales and reserved seats. This month it is featuring a children's program, "One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure," and "Defying Gravity: It Is Rocket Science!" at the York Learning Center Planetarium, 301 E. Sixth Ave., York. Show times on Saturday, March 21, are 2 and 4 p.m. for "One World, One Sky," 2:40 and 7:40 p.m. for "StarWatch," 3:20 p.m. for "Defying Gravity," 7 p.m. for "A Part of the Sky Called Orion," and 8:20 p.m. for "Skywatchers of Africa."
Admission fees have been set for adults and for children and seniors, with a discount on admission to any second or third show. Cash and most credit and debit cards are accepted. Private show reservations are available. For more information, readers may visit http://www.astroyork.com.
