Zumba will be held on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. for individuals age 12 and older. Men's 30+ Open Gym Basketball will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m., with a nominal fee that is payable at the door. Both Zumba and the basketball open gym sessions will take place in the gym at the Lower Windsor Township Building, 2425 Craley Road, Wrightsville.
A Rain Barrel Workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Lower Windsor Township Building in the training room. Participants will learn about homeowner best management practices for managing storm water on their property, with a major focus on rain barrels. Participants will be able to put the finishing touches on a rain barrel to take home. All materials and tools will be provided.
An Alpaca Fleece Bird Nesting Balls program will be offered on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Hellam Township Administration Building, 44 Walnut Springs Road, York. From alpaca fiber, fun bits and pieces, and string, participants will create one-of-a-kind bird nesting balls. The finished grapevine balls may be hung outside from a hook or tree branch, where birds may pull fiber from them to use when lining their nests. The fee includes materials to make two nesting balls.
