The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP) will kick off a new technology workforce development series called TechWork with a panel showcasing the Autism2Work (A2W) program on Tuesday, April 7, at 5:30 p.m. at the Eden Resort, 222 Eden Road, Lancaster. The event will include a one-hour moderated panel, a question-and-answer session, and a reception.
Attendees will learn how the A2W program partners with businesses to provide an employment model specifically designed to bring the talent pool of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder into the tech workforce. A2W, a program of CAI, customizes its recruiting and training process to select team members and then provides on-the-job supervision, skill development, and ongoing performance management to create a long-term, win-win workforce development opportunity.
Panelists will include Sandra Stefanic, senior vice president, customer interface, Highmark Health Solutions; Stacy Kyle, director of business development and partnerships, AHEDD, and project director, Disability:IN Pennsylvania; Wayne McRae, program manager, A2W, CAI; and Dr. Sheila Alexander, parent of an A2W team member.
Preregistration is required at https://tccp.wildapricot.org/event-3769546. There is a per-person fee, with a discount for members of TCCP.
