Community members may nominate an organization to be entered to win the randomly-selected Donor for a Day prize of $1,000 on Friday, May 1, during the Give Local York Big Give Day. All participating organizations that receive a submission in their name will be entered to win the prize, and the winner will be announced during the Give Local York Big Give Day.
Readers may fill out the Donor for a Day entry form before Thursday, April 30. They should include their name and email address, as well as the name of their chosen participating organization and why they would like to enter this organization in the prize drawing. For a full list of participating organizations, readers may visit http://www.givelocalyork.org/info/all-nonprofits. People are also invited to upload a selfie with the "I Give Local to" sign featuring the name of their chosen organization.
