The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.
Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. No items will be accepted over the phone.

Blood Donors Needed
The American Red Cross is asking healthy people to consider donating blood after a number of blood drives have been canceled due to concerns about the coronavirus.
The Red Cross is facing a severe shortage and is asking people to make an appointment to donate blood by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting http://www.RedCrossBlood.org or calling 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767).
NCCC News
The Newcomers Club of Chester County's (NCCC) general meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, is cancelled. Meetings will resume at a later date.
Ticketholders for the annual Designer Bag Bingo event, previously scheduled for April 4, have until Tuesday, May 5, to request a refund. Visit http://www.newcomerscenchesco.org/bingo for refund instructions. Tickets not refunded prior to this date will be donated to local Chester County charities.

Berks County Libraries is now offering its Story Riders story time program online. Food Pantry
The Honey Brook Food Pantry, located at the Good Food Distribution Center, 5064 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, is open on the second Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 4 to 6:30 p.m. All food will be distributed outside. Clients should remain in their cars and volunteers will deliver their food to them.
Those who are visiting the pantry for the first time must provide proof of residency in the form of a bill or a driver's license. The pantry serves residents of the Twin Valley School District (Chester County) and Indian Run.
Community members are invited to help out the pantry by donating nonperishable food items on distribution days. Food items most needed include spaghetti noodles and sauce, pasta, rice, boxed macaroni and cheese, instant potatoes, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, soup, canned fruit, tuna, canned stew and pasta meals. Monetary donations are also being accepted at http://www.honeybrookfoodpantry.org/donate.
