Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS) will provide free grab-and-go summer lunches at three locations in the Conestoga Valley School District from Tuesday, June 9, through Tuesday, Aug. 11. The lunches are available for children and youths age 18 and younger.
In past years, CVCCS served summer lunches three days a week. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the normal Summer Lunch Program meals will be prepackaged and distributed once a week on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to noon and will be grab-and-go.
Meals will be distributed at three locations: Flory Park, 416 Dohner Drive, Lancaster; Country Club Apartments, 323 Aaron Lane, Lancaster; and Ebeneezer Evangelical Congregational Church Brownstown, 23 S. State St., Brownstown. Each child will receive a bundle of three meals for the week that are ready to eat or reheat. The sites will not be open to eat the meals there.
