CommunityAid Lancaster Reopens

On June 5, CommunityAid reopened its retail store at 31 Rohrerstown Road, Lancaster, to serve shoppers and support hundreds of nonprofits in need.

All CommunityAid retail stores and donation centers closed in compliance with Gov. Tom Wolf's nonessential business closure order on March 16. In reopening as each county entered the governor's yellow phase, each CommunityAid retail store has implemented COVID-19 mitigation policies in accordance with CDC guidelines. CommunityAid is requiring each visitor and team member to wear a face mask while inside the retail store. CommunityAid is also limiting the number of customers permitted inside at one time.

Returning shoppers will notice social distancing markers when they enter the register queue; these markers were placed to align with Pennsylvania Department of Health recommendations. CommunityAid's front-end team will perform enhanced cleaning procedures following every transaction.

All CommunityAid drive-up donation centers are now open for self-serve, no-contact drop-offs. Collection bins are placed outside each store's donation doors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays.

Each CommunityAid retail store is open on Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. All CommunityAid retail stores and donation centers are closed on Sundays.

CommunityAid has donated a total of more than $15 million to hundreds of local churches, charities, and first responders since 2009.
