Students Graduate From NuPath Program

NuPaths has announced the graduation of its first cohort of high school students enrolled in the digital marketing assistant program at Manheim Township High School. NuPaths is an IT workforce development company co-founded by Harrisburg University of Science and Technology to prepare students for well-paying and in-demand entry-level jobs in the information technology (IT) industry.

The students have earned more than 62 industry-recognized certifications and over 92 college credits in the NuPaths program for their work. Certifications earned include those from Google, Adobe, and Microsoft.

To celebrate a successful completion of the program, a virtual student recognition event for the 19 seniors was held online on June 2.

Launched in 2018, NuPaths works with high school seniors through programs embedded in the school day for the full school year. Students learn job-specific IT skills and receive industry-recognized certifications needed for the current IT job market. NuPaths also offers a six-month college alternative for high school graduates, veterans, and career-transitioning employees.

A distance learning option for high schools throughout Pennsylvania is now available for the fall. Students can participate in the NuPaths program during 2020-21 school year as part of their high school's distance learning curriculum.

A digital marketing assistant works closely with the marketing team to implement online marketing plans and strategies. He or she assists the marketing team to ensure websites are fully optimized for search engines and online advertising and verifies that digital marketing ads and campaigns are well designed and optimally used. Additionally, the digital marketing assistant evaluates site analytics and performance to leverage and enhance digital business activities.

NuPaths was launched in 2018. In addition to Manheim Township High School, it offers programs to high schools throughout central Pennsylvania. It was also recently awarded a state grant to transition two additional programs into a distance learning format through Gov. Wolf's PAsmart Apprenticeship and Next Generation Industry Partnerships program.
