Sarah Hoffman of York was recognized for service as a resident assistant at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, during the university's extracurricular awards. Hoffman is a senior education major and received her undergraduate degree on May 16.
Wilkes University's Office of Residence Life recognized the students for their service. Resident assistants are hired on the basis of character, leadership, and their ability to interact with students. The primary function of the resident assistant staff is to build a community.
