Building Character Reopens, Posts Museum Hours

Building Character (BC), located on North Queen Street, Lancaster, has announced that because Lancaster County has moved into the yellow phase, it is now open with modifications and protections. The on-site Heritage Press Museum is also open for demonstrations.

BC has reduced its hours of operation and canceled any late night openings, but these changes will not affect the museum's hours. The front door will remain locked and there will be no souvenir printing by visitors. Everyone entering BC must wear a mask. Multiple hand sanitizer stations are available. Demonstrators will stay behind the rope, and there will be a plexiglass panel between visitors and the C&P press.

The museum's upcoming open dates and any currently scheduled demonstrators are as follows: Thursday, June 18; Friday, June 19; Saturday, June 20; Sunday, June 21, Richard Rutledge; Thursday, June 25, Ken Kulakowsky; Friday, June 26; Saturday, June 27, Mike Donnelly; and Sunday, June 28, Richard Rutledge. The museum will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on all of these dates. The open hours on Third Friday, June 19, have been canceled.

Volunteer demonstrators are needed, and these individuals are asked to volunteer one day per month.
