The Children's Aid Society - The Lehman Center's 29th annual benefit auction will take place on Tuesday, June 30, as a virtual event. The event, which is traditionally held at the York County 4-H Center, had to be rescheduled and hosted virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Auction items will be sold starting at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, and bidding will conclude at 9 p.m. on June 30. A preview of items will be held on Monday, June 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Church Road, York. Items that will be up for bids during the auction include sports memorabilia, merchandise from local businesses, and gift certificates to local restaurants, hotels, department stores, and children's museum's.

The volunteer-run event benefits children and families through the operation of several essential programs, including a 24-hour crisis nursery that provides emergency temporary respite care for children from birth through age 6, creative art therapy, family advocacy services, parent support groups, and a 24-hour emergency hotline.

Since 1992, the auction has been an important event for the agency. The Lehman Center Auxiliary has raised a total of more than $1 million for children and families in York County.
