Saint John Neumann Catholic School will open for the 2020-21 school year in August. The school serves students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. As part of the proposal first submitted to Bishop Gainer to build the school, Saint John Neumann School will replace Saint Anne Catholic School, which closed at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
The school will continue to offer a Catholic education for all those who seek a faith-based environment for their children. The school looks forward to welcoming new families from the Manheim Township community and other communities in the area. Both Catholic and non-Catholic families looking for a new and different option for their children are invited to contact the school.
Due to construction delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Saint John Neumann Catholic School will temporarily hold classes in the Saint Anne School building. It is anticipated construction on Saint John Neumann School's facility will be finished in the early fall, allowing faculty, staff, students, and administration to move into the new facility in September.
As a legal entity independent of the Diocese of Harrisburg, funding for construction of Saint John Neumann Catholic School was provided through the support of parishioners, parents, and community supporters.
