Local Students Receive Honor

Lower Dauphin High School graduating senior Madison Miduri was the Hummelstown Rotary Club's Student of the Month for May. Madison is the daughter of Michelle Miduri.

She is a four-year member of the choir, fall play and spring musical, and she was Paulette in this spring's production of "Legally Blonde."

In the community, she participates in her church's praise band and dances at McCann's School of Dance. She also sings the national anthem at various school and community events.

She will attend Arcadia University with the goal of working in trauma/emergency medicine.

Lower Dauphin High School graduating senior Olivia Meyers was the Hummelstown Women's Club's Young Woman of the Month for May. Olivia is the daughter of Diana Meyers.

She is a four-year member of the choir, orchestra, fall play and spring musical, and she was Brooke in this spring's production of "Legally Blonde" and also served as dance captain. She is a two-year member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.

In the community, she has danced at Susquehanna Dance Academy for 11 years and has been a competitive gymnast for ASAP for 10 years.

She will attend Penn State University Park to major in wildlife science, and she hopes to participate in club gymnastics, choir, orchestra and dance.
