Summer Outdoor Showcase Slated

Jul 29, 2020 -

Stewartstown Summer Theatre will present an outdoor showcase from Wednesday, July 29, through Sunday, Aug. 9, at Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The 10 shows will be performed by a cast, crew, and orchestra of youths from southcentral Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. Most shows will begin at 8 p.m., but the shows on Sundays, Aug. 2 and 9, will feature a 5 p.m. start.

The audience must bring lawn chairs and sit 6 feet apart from non-family members. The audience is urged to wear masks to and from the event. Masks are not required during the performance due to the 6-foot social distancing rule. Restroom facilities will not be available during the 80-minute event. Freewill donations will be received at the end of the shows to support the work of the theater.

The performances are free, but ticket vouchers must be obtained at http://www.sumctheatre.com or by calling 717-746-6265. Ticket vouchers must be presented upon arrival to ensure the attendance remains within state guidelines.

If weather forces cancellation of a performance, there will be five rain date options. Audience members will need to re-register if the performance is rescheduled to a rain date. For any questions regarding tickets, readers may call 717-993-7862 and leave a message.
