Matthew J. Dougherty has been selected to receive the John O. Hanna Scholarship, which assists children of employees of Northwest and its affiliates in furthering their education. An outside selection committee not affiliated with Northwest awards scholarships based on grades, financial need, student essays and letters of recommendation. The scholarship is in the amount of $2,000 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Dougherty is a Conestoga Valley High School graduate and a senior at Bloomsburg University, where he is majoring in economics and has been included on the dean's list. He is the son of Ed Dougherty of Lancaster and the late Teri Dougherty.
