Southern End Community Association (SECA), 299 Park Ave., Quarryville, has posted its upcoming events.
SECA is taking youth swim lesson registrations for session three, which will run from Monday, Aug. 3, to Thursday, Aug. 13, and session four, which will run from Monday, Aug. 17, to Thursday, Aug. 27. Classes will run from Mondays to Thursdays, with makeup days on Fridays. More details are available at http://www.secarec.org.
A senior citizen free swim is set for Wednesday, July 29, from 9 to 10 a.m.
SECA's second annual Boatyard Wars will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 4 p.m. Boats must be constructed entirely out of cardboard and duct tape. Prizes will be awarded. To enter, readers may call 717-806-0123 or email seca@epix.net.
SECA will offer a Soccer Shots free session on Thursday, Aug. 13, so children may explore playing soccer before committing to the full eight-week fall session. Children ages 2 and 3 will meet from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and those ages 3 to 5 will meet from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. While the class is free, participants are required to enroll through Soccer Shots to participate. Details are available on the aforementioned website. The fall session will run from Thursday, Sept. 3, to Thursday, Oct. 22.
SECA's 30th annual golf tournament will take place on Friday, Sept. 4, at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club, 653 Scotland Road, Quarryville. Participants may register together in groups of four.
