Changes Aim To Keep Riders Safe

New signage has been installed by rabbittransit on board its fixed route vehicles to welcome riders back and to promote an inclusive riding experience for everyone. The bright, clear message of "Let's Ride Together," displayed in both English and Spanish, reminds riders to take safety precautions as everyone continues to fight COVID-19. The three-part message is accompanied by large, simple illustrations to draw in the eye and reinforce the new riding instructions.

A 42-inch sign is displayed as riders enter the bus, detailing three reminders: Practice social distancing, wear a mask, and keep hands clean. In addition, several steps have been taken to bolster these efforts on board. Lexan barriers were installed on all vehicles to promote social distancing, and, for those without face coverings, rabbittransit provides cloth masks at no cost to riders upon request. To further reduce contact, rabbittransit recommends paying through the Transit app or Token Transit. Also, riders are encouraged to make use of the hand-sanitizing stations upon entering and exiting the vehicle.

The vehicles are continuing to be sanitized with common touchpoints wiped down throughout the day. Drivers are provided with their own personal protective equipment at the start of their shifts.

More than 8,000 people depend on rabbittransit each day to get to work, medical facilities, school and other life-sustaining activities.
