The Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley Truck Convoy will take place virtually for the first time on Sunday, Aug. 16. The event will include a chicken barbecue, merchandise, an auction, and games. The event will also be livestreamed.
The modified, small truck convoy with the top 30 drivers and key sponsors will leave from Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction at 1:30 p.m.
The chicken barbecue will take place on Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bon-Ton parking lot at Park City Mall in Lancaster. To preorder meals, readers may visit https://philadesv.wish.org/.
The first official merchandise store is now open and offers custom Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy items, including shirts, aprons and non-medical face masks.
Auction items may be viewed at the aforementioned website. Most items will be for pickup only, though some will be available for shipping.
This year, the Convoy Games will happen virtually. A scavenger hunt will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. Truck Convoy Bingo will be offered on Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. More information is forthcoming.

The funds raised at the Convoy typically support more than 75% of the wishes granted in the Susquehanna Valley each year. Approximately 500 local children with critical illnesses are waiting for their wishes to come true.
