The Community Calendar is a weekly feature of the Community Courier.
Local clubs, civic organizations, nonprofit agencies, schools, etc., that would like to have events or meeting date information published, should contact the Community Courier in writing at least two weeks before the event. Support Group
Kacie's Kause, Atglen Chapter, offers a support group for friends and family of addicted loved ones every Wednesday at the Schneider Parish Center, 2995 Cemetery Road, Parkesburg, in the outdoor gazebo. There is an indoor plan in case of inclement weather.

Chicken Barbecue
Russellville Grange will hold a drive-through chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 3 p.m. until sold out. The menu will include one-half of a chicken, choice of barbecue potatoes or pasta salad, applesauce, dessert and a beverage.
Preorders are recommended. Call or text 717-572-0010 to place an order. The Grange is located on Route 896 just north of Route 10.
Study Review Sessions
Municipal Resources Inc. will present the completed Chester County Fire and EMS Strategic Plan on behalf of the Chester County Fire Chiefs Association, Chester County EMS Council Inc. and the Chester Fire Police Association on three separate dates in August via WebEx virtual presentation. The presentations are intended for first responders, municipal and elected officials and Chester County citizens.
Sessions will be held on the following dates: Monday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, Aug. 25, 7 to 9 p.m.; and Wednesday, Aug. 26, noon to 2 p.m. Each session will have the same content.

Library Events
The Moores Memorial Library, 9 W. Slokom Ave., Christiana, will host an outdoor free Family Movie Night on Friday, Aug. 28, behind the library. The movie will begin at 8:45 p.m. For more information, including the move title, call the library at 610-593-6683.
The Friends of the Moores Memorial Library will hold a drive-through chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Lion's Park on North Bridge Street in Christiana. Half-chickens will be offered beginning at 10 a.m. and will be available until sold out. Proceeds will benefit the library.
Food Cupboard Open
New hours went into effect at the Octorara Area Food Cupboard on Aug. 1. New hours are Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., and Wednesdays, noon to 3 p.m. and 3:45 to 6 p.m.

Kindergarten Program
