Master Gardeners Offer Services

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners have traditionally offered their Garden Hotline to answer the public's gardening questions. County residents could also physically visit the Penn State Extension office to speak with a Master Gardener. This resource was available to answer gardening questions and concerns, including plant and insect identification, general gardening questions, pests, disease and more.

However, with the office currently being closed to the public due to COVID-19, the Garden Hotline has been modified for the health and safety of the community. Effective Aug. 11, Lebanon County Master Gardeners are available to answer gardening questions via Zoom during virtual office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling the Penn State Extension office at 717-270-4391.

Individuals can meet virtually with a Master Gardener through a Zoom link via a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Individuals who do not have access to a smartphone or internet will have the option to dial in through their phone for a conference call. After making an appointment, the office staff will provide the appropriate link or phone number to call.

Alternatively, the public can also email any questions or concerns to a Master Gardener through the Master Gardener Hotline email account at LebanonMG@psu.edu. For more information, readers may contact Casey Clauser, Master Gardener coordinator, at 717-639-3589 or cmc7444@psu.edu.
