Jump for Joy, a nondenominational Christian fitness program, will start its fall session on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Classes will be held from 6 to 7:10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program aims to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
A total of 16 classes will take place on Zoom. Instructor and program creator Lynn Elliott Kuhn will lead class participants through a complete body workout via aerobic dance routines choreographed to upbeat Christian and positive mainstream music. Each class will begin with a devotional and prayer time. The one-hour workout will combine stretches, cardio, strength, and balance moves. Various impact levels will be encouraged. The dance routines will be followed by a core workout, stretches, and cooldown on the floor.
Participants may try their first class for free to see if they like it. This will be the 33rd year that Jump for Joy provides area women with opportunities for regular fitness and fellowship.
