Elizabethtown Area Senior Center, located in the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown, has posted its schedule, which includes fundraisers. For more information or to make reservations for meals or attendance, readers may call the center at 717-367-7984.
The center is offering grab 'n' go lunches. Meals will be cold/frozen and in a heatable tray, and lunches may be picked up at the senior center from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Fridays. Meals must be ordered two days in advance; no walk-ins will be permitted. Donations for lunch will be accepted at the door. Menus are not available.

On weekdays from Thursday, Sept. 17, to Wednesday, Sept. 23, the center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Each day at 9 a.m., coffee, table games, and puzzles will be available. Activities scheduled at 10:30 a.m. each day are as follows: a Farkle tournament on Sept. 17; Jeopardy! on Friday, Sept. 18; Tell Me a Story on Monday, Sept. 21; Which Would You Choose: on Tuesday, Sept. 22; and Gibberish on Sept. 23.
A Dash 'n' Dine Dinner will be offered on Friday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.The takeout meals will feature ham, oven-roasted potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll, applesauce, and dessert. Reservations are due by Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The center is holding a Baskets (and More Galore) Benefit Auction online, with an auction link available at http://www.etownareaseniorcenter.org, http://www.getintogears.org, or the GEARS and senior center Facebook pages. Bidding will be open through Sept. 18, when it will begin closing at 7 p.m. Prizes should be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the GEARS Community Center from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; individuals may also call for an appointment.
The senior center, a community service of GEARS, is funded, in part, under an agreement with money allocated by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and the Lancaster County Office of Aging.
