The YMCA of York and York County has officially announced that during September and October, the joining fee will be waived for all YMCA membership options as part of a Bring Back Community membership promotion.
A YMCA membership includes child watch services, which vary by branch; unlimited access to all branches and the Graham Aquatic Center; free daily exercise classes at all branches; water aerobics classes at the York and Southern branches; discounted special programs; and discounted pricing on a Graham Aquatic Center outdoor pool membership.
Through the Membership for All program, the YMCA provides financial assistance to individuals and families to ensure everyone can take part in Y programming, regardless of income. Reduced membership rates are available for households with income less than $73,999. Verification of household income is required, and people may simply show a copy of their most recently filed tax Form 1040 or Form 1040-EZ.
Through the YMCA FitFriends Program, when a member refers a friend who then joins the YMCA, both people will save 20% on their monthly membership as long they both remain active.
