Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Ave., Hershey, will offer several events in October. Registration is required, unless noted otherwise, by visiting http://www.hersheylibrary.org.
Intermediate to Advanced Photoshop with Bryson Leidich will be offered virtually on Saturdays, Oct. 17 and 24, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Participants will learn essential tools for better image processing. The class is open to individuals age 16 and older.
The Fear of Commitment Book Group: Short Fiction will meet at Cassel Vineyards of Hershey, 80 Shetland Drive, Hummelstown, on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 7 p.m. to discuss "Taste" by Roald Dahl. Registration is not required. Participants must be age 21 or older. Copies of the short story will be available at the library and at Cassel Vineyards of Hershey.
On Oct. 24, visitors are invited to stop by the library to enjoy the Edible Book Contest, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contestants will use their culinary skills to recreate a fiction or nonfiction book with food. Library visitors may vote for their favorites in-person or at the aforementioned website.
Family fun will be available during Tim Burton Movie Trivia on Zoom and Facebook Live on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Mummy in the Mystery Mansion is a Friends program for children on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 to 11 a.m. Talewise will present the story of Frankie and Casey who visit their uncle for his annual Halloween party. This virtual program will be presented on Zoom.
